Hi and Welcome to the 2020 edition of the TransAtlanticWay.

Before you enter there’s a couple of things to tell you.
You are mad !
Oh ! you already know that.
We’re not a race any more.
What does that mean ?
I’ve no idea but probably not that much.

You won’t need “Race insurance “ you will still need insurance that covers riding your bike in Ireland though.
You are still tracked,
All the rules still apply.
Solo means solo no Drafting.
Still Self-Supported
Still Bikepacking
Still incredibly difficult

Note: a shorter Option. 500 km less than the full route.

The price is the same for each route and you can mix and match as the ride progresses. It’s up to you how hard you want to make this. A special hand made TransAtlanticWay cup will be awarded to everyone that finishes either designated route. Everyone else gets a hug.

What’s included in the entrance fee of £480:

  1. GPSTracker and Tracking.
  2. Rider Brief and registration the day before 3rd of June 2020 in Trinity College.
  3. A bag and or bike box drop from the start in Dublin to the Finish in Kinsale.
  4. A goody bag
  5. A starters T-shirt
  6. A TransAtlanticWay cap.
  7. Two manned checkpoints.

  11. And a free hug a the finish

  13. A party at the end

What’s NOT included: Accommodations at the start.

This needs to be booked individually. We strongly advise you to book at Trinity college as the registration and trackers distribution will take place here.

Also it is worth knowing that Dublin is one of the most expensive cities in Europe and this accommodation, if booked, will include a free cooked full Irish breakfast.

Trinity College is ideally situated in the heart of Dublin city and it is a true oasis of tranquility and calm. Also home of the book of Kells, it is an ideal location to explore the city.

Bikes will be tolerated in the rooms if boxed. If not boxed, their policy is to turn a blind eye so respect is expected.

Note: Before booking at Trinity college, please pay registration to TAW ride. Also please note that Trinity college accommodations won’t be able to be booked until 1st October 2019 so we will provide you a link with a code for the TAW Discount around this period.

Note 2: You will be able to choose to enter as SOLO or as a PAIR via your account. If you ride as PAIR, each rider will need to create an account and you will be able to link it to your PAIR

We’re working very hard to make this an incredible adventure for everyone involved. And hope to see many of you at the start in June next year.
